Mostly Jazz

David has been presenting 'Mostly Jazz' at 3RPP since 1986. The programme indulges in Mainstream and Modern Jazz and the programme guideline is 'only jazz that swings or that is beautiful is presented'.

Small group recordings are the main feature from the 50s up until the present. Each programme includes a half hour feature on a jazz identity or group and the last half hour is devoted to jazz vocalists.

David, who has lived in England, Japan, the Middle East and Australia since 1982, is a very experienced jazz drummer himself and runs a jazz club in Frankston. He endeavours to present tasteful jazz music that not only pleases the ardent jazz fan but is appealing to the fringe listener.
